After the merger between CZAV and CAV Agrotheek, FarmPlus faced the challenge of bringing together two organizations, two cultures and two systems. With Chainresult as project director, the agricultural cooperative realized one uniform way of working in a modern and future-proof application landscape.
The challenge
The merger between CZAV (Zeeland) and CAV Agrotheek (Noord-Holland) was the starting point for FarmPlus. In 2023, CZAV successfully switched to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. The choice was made to have CAV Agrotheek work on this modern solution as well.
The challenge:
– Integrating two worlds within nine months
– Harmonize processes that overlap but are not yet equal
– Cleaning and merging data from another system (Exact)
– Enrich the system and test it extensively
– And bring employees along in new ways of working
The realization
Led by Chainresult, a quick scan was performed in which processes, systems and roles were analyzed. The differences between North and South were clarified and the basis for change management was laid.
CZAV’s existing application landscape served as the foundation. Chainresult then provided guidance:
– intensive testing
– The extension of the Dynamics template
– bringing together from the old system to the new system
– as well as the phased rollout to all former CAV Agrotheek branches
With strong focus on change management and business change, employees were taken step by step into the new way of working.

With the commissioning of the new ERP system, FarmPlus now has:

– Streamlined processes across all locations
The organization can make faster decisions, plan more efficiently and serve customers even better. The merger has thus taken shape not only organizationally, but also digitally – a solid foundation for further growth.
The role of Chainresult
Chainresult fulfilled the role of project director throughout the project.
With knowledge from the earlier CZAV project, the Dynamics template was quickly and effectively adapted to the processes of the former CAV Agrotheek.
Chainresult:

– Supervised the testing phase,
– Supported employees in embracing the new way of working through effective business change
The result: a successful go live and an organization that is ready for the future.
